Held

Held is a play that was shown at the Tristan Bates Theatre in the West End throughout June, 2017. Funded by the Arts Council it is set in a modern UK prison facing all the crises and failing living conditions we have recently seen in the news. The story explores the desperate, broken lives of five inmates and the chains that bind them. Developed from Walking (Winner of the Windsor Fringe Kenneth Branagh Award) and Dog City (Lost Theatre), both by Tina Jay and directed by Richard Elson, this uncompromising tale explores the harsh reality of an adult prison.
